Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - masterful research
Randi does an excellent job of exposing these frauds who prey on the sick and despairing all for the sake of the almighty buck. The blatant lying, greed, hypocrisy of these "faith healers" is truly revolting. I don't blame Randi for being angry at this. These faith healers should be prosecuted. His book offers an excellent critique of the horrific abuses of these faith healers. Randi starts off with a history of faith healing and then goes on to show that not only is there no proof for faith healing, but that people are frequently pulled into this racket usually to their greater detriment. The main thrust of this book is to show that faith healing is really a racket put on by con artists who could't care less about the bible. They prey on people who are sick and despairing all for their own greed. There may be such things as faith healing, but so far we have no proof of it. If there is a god, he gave man reason to use in the pursuit of a reliable form of knowledge which is science, not in the mysticism and nebulous thinking of faith healers.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Sad Account of Deception in the name of God
This book serves as a reminder that nothing is sacred when it comes to making a quick buck. In it are accounts of the charlatans behind the money making schemes that play on the emotions and needs of humans. It tells the story of supposed ministers of God that make a mockery of religion and care little for the efficacy of their work or for the human lives they shatter. James Randi does an excellent job of exposing the con artists for what they are; and how they consistently and repeatedly refuse to put their claims to the test. Read the book and become informed of the deception, insincerity, and insensitivity that are the faith healers.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - You'll never look a these guys the same again!
This book was great! It truly exposes these "men of God" for who they really are: Scam artists! I still can't believe these men are still on T.V. selling their lies! It goes to show you just how gullible we human beings can be. You owe it to yourself to read this book. I'm really thankful to have a man like James Randi out there doing what he's doing. Keep it up! Sincerely, Sean Roscoe

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Watch where you put your faith
Once again, James Randi expresses the outrage of many who watch others be fooled by the scam. By taking it a next step further, Randi exposes the tricks behind these faith healers, and shows how easily people can be duped. You'll be compelled by the insight, humor and pure amazement that these charlatans are able to continue to perform! Definitely a "can't put down" reading. Thanks again, Mr. Randi

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent expose' of bogus "alternative medicine" claims.
Randi explores bogus cures, mostly relating to con-artists "Faith Healers." I highly recomend this book. Chapters cover several well-known "Faith Healers" and their methods, as well as the begging letters "Faith Healers" use to lure victims. A few obscure "Faith Healers" are also explored. Randi expresses outrage and frustration that the U.S. governmental agencies that exist to protect citizens against fraud do not punish "Faith Healers" because of the First Amendment--- if one is victimized under the guise of religion, one is left without recourse. This book should be required reading for all who have considered "alternative" medicine or "Faith Healing."
