a friend of mine told me i just had to get this old nutty at times crazy book so i did and i cannot recommend this one.

Excellent book! I recommend it to anyone who wants to improve himself and learn more about infinite and incredible possibilities. I did some of the things suggested in it and it works!

I'm surprised this book still sells. I'm very much into things deemed "New Age" -- so when I see rave review after rave review about a book this bad -- I KNOW the "New Age" movement is in DEEP trouble: her fans are as delusional as she was. They actually think she was a "Guru"!!There's so much bad info in this book, it's difficult to know where to start. First of all, I suspect that Goodman had only a superficial knowledge of Astrology -- which she fluffed up with a lot of popular psycho-babble. She used the Tropical Zodiac, instead of the Sidereal (the REAL star signs). Then she talks about meeting an "Avatar" when she clearly does NOT understand what an "Avatar" is. Her advice on Money (give half away), color diets (unhealthy), vegetarianism, Lexigrams & Physical Immortality, etc. -- just dangerously ignorant & stupid beyond belief! The only part of the book I use is on the Chaldean numerological system (not that different from the Vedic). My advice to anyone reading this book, is to pick your way carefully thru it -- as you would thru a swampland. MOST of it is TRASH. Unfortunately, the New Age newbies do not know enough about the Occult to be able to distinguish trash from treasure. There is very little treasure in "Star Signs."

Fascinating overview of all things known and unknown about unexplained phenomena. Excellent introduction for the novice regarding the secrets of numbers, colors, auras and avatars. Linda Goodman is an enthusiastic writer. Her style makes the reader comfortable. I have had the hard cover edition for over 10 years. When I saw that it was available in paperback, I snapped it up. Much easier to cart around on a plane or car trip. An invaluable resource for those seeking alternative paths to the spiritual way.

I love astrology and so have read many a book on the subject matter.
I have many books by this author....she is wonderful and you will learn somethings about yourself and others.
