from the first use, I had to take it apart and tighten the belt, as the resistance, even with the notch at maximum, was minimal. Than it started to make a noise - one or two days later - I had to open it, again, to shave some of the plastic case that was rubbing against the shaft of the pedal on one side. My mom started therapy after a stroke and part of it included an arm bike and also a leg bike. I would have like to get one of each but this mini cycle serves my purpose. On the floor my mom can use it to work her legs and on the table she can work her arms. And it takes much less room than two professional cycles would take.
In addition, through helping her, I pulled something in my right arm and have been using it as an arm bike to keep my shoulder and arm limber.

I put this mini cycle under my coffee table to pedal while I'm watching TV or reading a book. It's not to break a sweat, but just to stay a little more active than I normally would be. It's especially nice to use since I can't fit a full-sized cycle anywhere in my house. Also, it's something to do when I'd rather not go outside to walk or jog (like when it's snowing).

Bike is as advertiised. It is sturdy and lightweight and does not move around when using it. The tension knob has small range but as noted in other reviews change is usable. I found the pedals are to small and changed them for larger ones, with straps

I ordered this mini cycle for exercise (for weight loss desperately needed after baby #2 came 14 months after baby #1)! It's ok. So far I have lost some, not major but every little bit counts. I do this while on the phone, easy to use, it shakes a bit and I recommend the straps that you wrap around the foot to connect the foot to the pedal temporarily... Altogether, my sister in law who tried it at my house wants one too. Easy to use- but easy to lose??
