So, I've found the answer to my fun little monthly dilemma. The Diva Cup is great in every way - it's easy, comfortable and very environmentally conscious (which I love).
It's easy in that once I figured out how to insert it (I got it on the first try - the directions are very clear and helpful) I pretty much can go 12 hours without even a thought to being on my period (that's after I take the Midol....)
It's comfortable; I usually don't fell it all. Sometimes I feel like ... Read More

I love my Diva Cup. It's much more comfortable than tampons or pads. You don't have the icky feeling pads give you or the dryness and irritation of tampons. That said, it takes some practice to use the Diva Cup and not get leaks. I usually end up wearing a pantyliner with it because if it isn't in just right, and I'm exercising or moving around, you get a little bit of leakage. You have to remember NOT to put it in like a tampon, otherwise you will make a mess. The directions are good, but you have ... Read More

This product is fantastic - works even better than tampons or pads. I was really worried that it wouldn't work well or that it would be hard to insert and remove, but after the first time, it's pretty easy. I can't feel it at all when it's inserted, and there are no leaks whatsoever. On my heavy flow days, I would go through one Super Plus tampon every hour, but even on those really heavy days, I don't need to empty the Diva Cup for about 6-8 hours. And on lesser flow days, I leave it in for 10 ... Read More

I've used commercial tampons, natural tampons, pads, and disposable menstrual cups before and this absolutely is the best, easiest, and most effective. Without a doubt.
It is much easier to insert and remove than I thought, because that was a concern of mine at first. You feel it in you even less than tampons. Change it once every twelve hours + it's virtually impossible to fill the cup up enough to warrant changing more often = it's almost difficult to remember that you're even on your period! ... I got the smallest DivaCup available, but still found it to be incredibly uncomfortable. Once it was in, there wasn't too much discomfort after the first few minutes, but inserting it was a trial and removing it again was actually painful.
I was really disappointed, since I'd hoped it would work out and had been pretty excited about getting it after all of the great reviews my friends had given me. I think the problem is that women's bodies don't come in only two sizes ("pre-childbirth" and ... Read More
