I used this product before starting Atkins and the colors (easily discernable) that showed indicated "negative" ketoacidosis which is normal for those not on a low-carb diet. However, after the first week, I used another strip and it clearly showed moderate ketoacidosis which gave me the mentality that the diet I am on was working for my body. Anyone on a low carb diet should use these regularly, especiallly if you have had a few "cheat" days. It tells you when you are back in ketosis, which is key for keeping on track of your weigh in goals. Just make sure to keep them in a dark cabinet, that doesn't get too hot, as the strip indicators are heat, moisture and light sensitive.
