Take a closer look at that tylenol bottle...3 different kinds of red dye and at least 2 sweetners: corn syrup and sorbitol. Yes, I have kids' tylenol in my cabinet...but I only use it when I absolutely have to....and that's not often! Medicines are much more effective when you only use them when absolutely necessary. I think everything should be used in moderation...including natural and medical remedies. My line of thinking is, if you can ease the pain or suffering w/o drugs, why wouldn't you? ... Read More

If these work at all (my experience is that they don't) it is because they are made of milk sugar. Regarding the homeopathic ingredients (including coffee and belladonna a.k.a. deadly nightshade), there are essentially three possibilities. One is that you are getting none or virtually none of the ingredients, since homeopathy is essentially a gimmick to sell water or sugar that was once shaken up with the ingredient. When my baby was 3 months old he started teething and I was using Tylenol, which I wasn't very comfortable with (and it didn't help too much.) Someone recommended Hylands and I was a bit skeptical (not having any experience at all with anything homeopathic!) I was shocked at how they calmed my baby and seemed to ease his discomfort! I bought these after hearing many positive things. Lucky for my daughter I read the full list of ingredients before giving them to her! She has a dairy allergy and though these may have helped with teething they would have caused her worse pain in her digestive tract.
