The Essential Oils blended in this lotion have traditionally been used to relieve symptoms of arthritic and rheumatic pain, fibromyalgia, fatigued muscles, restless legs, nerve pain, inflammation, respiratory problems, headaches, depression, and insomnia. I made this lotion to help with the muscle spasms I get in my legs and feet at night. The Muscle Relief lotion helped the cramping, but it was too energetic to allow me to sleep. I have trouble sleeping because my little brain won't shut down - I'd rather be up doing something than wasting time in bed. Unfortunately, it's the "down" time that helps the body regenerate for the next day, so for this blend I chose essential oils that traditionally help with pain, muscle tension, inflammation, and grounding. Now I find that even if I don't hurt, if I rub this lotion on the bottoms of my feet at night as I go to bed, it grounds me and just lets me sleep. One of the most surprising things about this lotion is the way it helps my nerve pain. At times my fibromyalgia will flare to the point that I can barely stand to have my clothes touch my skin. If I can gently begin to apply the Blue Magic to small areas, then larger areas of my body, soon that terrible nerve pain calms down and I can get dressed again! This lotion could be useful for many different situations involving nerves. It seems to help with Restless-leg Syndrome and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, as well as calming nerve pain from such things as shingles (after any blistering has gone away), and painful areas that often surround healed incisions from surgery or healed wounds. This is the other lotion that a local hospital purchased to offer to their oncology and stroke patients. Again, I sell lots of Blue Magic to people who first used it in that hospital. I have sold it to a number of people who have undergone chemotherapy. They say it helps to relieve the burning in their hands and feet during and after treatment.
