Insert the tip into the opening of the probe covers under the tab marked with an arrow. Push the tip firmly to the end of the probe cover. Peel away the paper backing. I purchsed this thermometer a couple of months ago. It is so easy to use, and very accurate. Much easier to use than other thermometers. I'm really glad I purchased this thermometer and the disposable covers. Makes less worry about spreading germs by covering the end and then throwing away the cover.
