I was foolish enough to leave mine at a hotel. I needed to get a new shaver and I immediately decided to get this model again, even though it was more expensive than the first time I paid for it! What better praise is there than that! It is quick, goes through my tough beard easily and painlessly, and cleaning it with water is a brilliant step in razor cleaning technology. It makes such a difference. Just don't leave it behind like a dope like me!

I have used Norelco shavers for years, after having tried many other shavers. The 8140XL is the best Norelco yet. It is very quiet, super easy on your face, and a great shave. The 8140XL is not the top of the line, but has all the needed features and is reasonably priced. A lot of shaver for the money. I highly recommend it.

The head is not strong. When I swep the water out of the machine.
The head is disconnect from the machine.
And it is not working good now.

In the 40 years that I've used Norelco razors, this one is by far the best one. It shaves as close as a razor blade. This razor is quiet, fast, and easy to clean.

This shaver is light-weight and recharges quickly. It is so quiet that I sometimes think it is losing power prior to failing, but it does not. It just continues running. It is recommended that the recharging stand be disconnected from the AC in between recharges, so the most absurd thing about this new shaver is that the owner is constantly having to plug and unplug the AC plug to the recharging stand.
