Amazon.com Review: Some might think this book proves that the Complete Idiot's series is running out of subjects to simplify, but it is more likely evidence that psychic phenomena have finally found acceptance in the mainstream. The perfect bridge between the mundane and the paranormal, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Psychic introduces readers to forms of extrasensory perception (ESP)--such as clairvoyance, telepathy, and precognition--and discusses ways to improve personal psychic abilities. Arranged much like a classroom text, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Psychic offers plenty of history on psychic phenomena and information on how established scientific fields view and study the subject. Sidebars handle jargon and technical information with easy-to-understand definitions and examples. You don't have to be a complete idiot to read this book, but even if you are, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Psychic will take the mystery out of ESP. --Brian Patterson

This book is quite broad on what it considers "psychic" but I would reccomend it. It is valuable because it makes legitimate intuitive, right-brain, poetic, and imaginative experiences in a left-brain, science dominated culture. Sometimes psychics are dubious in their perceptions of reality but I think truly some people are very intuitive and come across as prophets and people who can see beyond the normal.

Lynn Robinson is quite the cleaver writer and is able to break down the psychic phenomena for all those "Green" psychics opening up their Indigo vision (aka third eye). Fun and informative. It's no wonder Robinson is one of five psychics in the world I recommend all my friends and associates to.
Other great wise women mentors are: Sonia Choquette, Echo Bodine, Kelly Weaver, and Penney Peirce. All authors with books on Amazon.com.

When I read this book I was like "wow"!! I couldn't believe that someone had finally put down into an EASY to understand form all of these theories and techniques for becoming your own psychic! I immediate picked up the phone and called my own psychic to gloat: "Tell me what I'm reading right now," I demanded. "Umm... a book?" she replied. Darn it - she got me again! Is there anything this lady can't tell me about myself? Well, she has been a telephone psychic for a few months ... Read More

When we begin to decide not to fear the world of the mind and embrace it for its unknown rather than condemning its capacity, we may begin to tap into the wonderful rich resource that prevents throwing away the exquisite benefits it offers - daily - to understand each of us, and our integrated existence in the world about us including those with whom we share this wonderful experience of being alive. Rather than fighting it, we might appreciate the opportunities we now ignore as unworthy of our attention ... Read More

What I like about the Complete Idiot's Guide series is that you are assured that the authors involved in writing each specific topic are both well-established and well-respected in their field. And this could not be more true for this book on being psychic. When I became interested in this topic more than 20 years ago, there were very few books around that did not have an "occult" or "other-worldly" tone to it, which I found off-putting. It has been well worth the 20-year wait for a book like this, which ... Read More
