My order was placed in November, 2008. By the end of December I still had not gotten my order. I contacted the seller, no response. I have now had to write a letter, because they do not take calls, to MRC to try and get my order. This has been a big hassle. I cant believe the seller did not ... Read More

Beautifully written. Poignant and bittersweet. So many possibilities for happiness, but the ill winds of dysfunctional fortune blow through every chapter. Being drawn deeply into Edgar's plight, I wanted him to find joy and happiness, I almost needed it--so magnetic is the author's storytelling that it has that influence in the reader's mind. I read the whole book and I found it awful from start to finish. I only finished because of the hype. I kept hoping it would improve and in the end it would be worth the effort. I can't imagine why anyone would waste the paper and the ink. The book has no plot. There isn't any story being told. There isn't any character development. It reads like a diary. I'd expect a better first-draft from a high-school student.

I don't know when I have ever enjoyed reading a book as much as this one and absolutely!!!!! HATED the ending.

this is one of my favorite books. Although it seems to be quite a long read (coming from the girl who finished the twilight saga into three days) it held my attention throughout the entire journey. Edgar is a charming character whom I fell in love with the first twenty pages.
